The plants in an estuary attract lots of different animals to it. And those animals attract other animals to the estuary. Common animals include: shore and sea birds, fish, crabs, lobster, clams, and other shellfish, marine worms, raccoon, opossum, skunks and many different types of reptiles.
Shore and Sea Birds
There are over 50 different types of shore birds alone and the vast majority of them live in north america. Ththe shore and sea birds prey on the Lugworms and fish that inhabit the estuary waters.
Harbor Seal
The harbor seal, also known as the common seal, is a true seal found along temperate and Arctic marine coastlines of the Northern Hemisphere. They eat Salmon, Herring, Hake and many varieties of fish.
Hermit Crab
Hermit crabs are decapod crustaceans of the superfamily Paguroidea. Most of the 1100 species possess an asymmetrical abdomen which is concealed in an empty gastropod shell carried around by the hermit crab
The animals
The animals in an estuary are many and full of life. the ones mentioned here are only a few but there are plenty of them. and they are wondrous.
